I loved the way you explained that analogy, I don't think I've ever heard it put so beatifully. I agree with every word you said! I've always LOVED that part in
Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Even in the old BBC production of it, which is painfully badly done special FX-wise, I cry every time it comes to that part. It really is such a beautiful picture of our incompetance and Christ's sufficiency!
Leslie, that's a very interesting insight! I'll have to read that part again. I imagine, with that language, there was some sort of allegory intended by Lewis.
